    Stopping Smoking

Hi All just to let everyone know I'm stopping smoking in the morning, thought I'd give it a go and see if it helps get rid of Mr Panic. Ive joined a group and the woman running it (Hilly) said it should help me even though I know I'm going to be stressed, she said it will stop my heart beating so fast and I should feel calmer, I did manage to go to the chemist for my patches so theres a start, Has anyone else stopped and it has made Panic any better, any way am off for a fag now, but have no doubts I'll be on and off here all day tomorrow looking for support, but thats why I love you all so much cos thats what you all do so thanks for that, and if I'm a bit snappy I apologise now,

    Re: Stopping Smoking

    hi all,

i quit last year in august/sep.
havent looked back-wanted to -many times but do feel much better knowing my system is now repairing all the bad stuff the smoke did to it.
smoking made my heart race amoungst other things. coming off it also heightened my anxiety for a while- BUT IT WAS WORTH IT

dont forget that. just keep at it knowing your doing the best thing.
good luck to ya! its the right move to make for so so many reasons!

It may make you worse for a while whilst your body adjusts but good luck with it!

Good luck memyself, I'm at a stage of reducing my tobacco consumption by reduction but have come to the conclusion that a clean break is the best option. I plan to set a date before christmas so I'll be joining you soon . Best of luck and I'll check in here tomorrow to see how you are.

Well done, I've heard that drinking apple juice is good for lessening any cravings.

    Hi Emma,

Don't eat the dog food, they may not like that idea. I have heard taking vit. C helps with stop smoking. You can do it keep going.
