is this anxiety related? sorry its about bowels!

Hi dont know if anyone can help but the last few days and
occasionally like 1 or 2 days out of 10-14 i get days
where i cant stop opening my bowels. im not sure if its anxiety related or not. im not doing anything excessive that would cause anxiety more now than any other days.i dont have diahorrea
or loose stomach, its perfectly normal but im going 5
times a day. and its large amounts each time i dont
understand where its all coming from and why its happening!
im not eating more or different from usual. i havent been
constipated in the days leading up to this so i cant work
out what is happening and if its ok for this to happen. i
am a celiac so eat a gluten free diet.. would it be that
im missing something in my diet that is making me go so
frequent? or is it panicking but without me realising. its getting annoying now!

Anxiety can make you go more, but you usually get the trots. I wouldn't worry, a lot of people on the forum would love to have your problem, including me!

when i get myself in an anxious state or panicky it is nasty.. get the runs and nasty stomach aches but this is just normal day to day im gettin these symptoms.
do u think it could be related to excercise?ive started to do lots of stomach crunches and using an electronic slender gym that pulses through my stomach muscles contracting them.. tryin to tone up for my holiday!
could this cause frequent bowel movement?

    Hi Bubble

It sounds like you have a touch of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), which is common for people with anxiety. As far as I know, no one is really positive about what causes IBS, but it does seem to have connections with anxiety (Usually the more anxious you are the worse it is). I get it too, although I suffered from anxiety for about 7 years before it ever appeared. It doesn't usually cause problems for me, but I've had a couple of phases where I have been more anxious than usuall when it's been worse. I don't think excercise would cause it either, if anything I would of thought excercise may even help a little. It may just be that you're under extra stress thinking about your holidays, I don't think it is really caused by panic, but more a general feeling of anxiety, which you may not even notice is there, although the panic can add to that.
