Thread: Hi Everyone!

    Hi Everyone!

Hi! I am a 23 year old female living in Wiltshire. I suffer from anxiety and a hell of a lot of overthinking which is so draining, I am currently on Propanalol for the anixiety - to be taken as and when I need it. I am currently waiting to have my first appointment with the Wiltshire Talking Therapy Service, which is how I found this page.

My anixety has been getting a lot worse over the past 5/6 years but I never did anything about it because I thought I could handle it myself, until I got into a relationship over 2 years ago and my partner helped me make the steps to getting help. Unfortunately that relationship has now ended because we both needed to work on ourselves in order to be better for each other. I have taken the past few days to allow myself to hurt from that break up but I now really want to work on myself, learn to love myself, learn to be ok by myself and to ease my overthinking. If anyone has any tips or tricks that help them that would be great, I just need something to try until I can see the therapist. I have started to take time away from social media and my phone and I am going to start spending more time with my family and outdoors but if there is anything else that helps other people then I would be very appreciative to know!

    Re: Hi Everyone!

Hello. Just read your message and I could relate to some of the things that you were talking about. And I'm someone who wants to get better and I really genuinely would like to be a better person in my own life and I would say the biggest thing that has really helped me the most was meditation, but of course it's about being really consistent with it and doing it as often as you possibly can. Also listening to positive affirmations have really helped me so much. Honestly that one has been a complete life saver at times because it made me feel more sane. So definitely try that as well but as I've stated before it's about being consistent about it because most people thinks that it's a magic trick and you're automatically just doing well in a day. You have to put a lot amount of work and dedication into this and it's really about doing what's better for you. I like that you said that you will be with your family more often and you will be going outdoors more. Those are two are the most important things. You're already doing the work which is really truly admirable! You're on you way towards recovery! ❤️ if you ever need to talk I'm here. It's my first time using this website so I'm unsure how to send DM's and all but please reach out! Also just in case there isn't any DM's here I have an instagram and my username is mrchad519
I know you've distanced yourself from social media but this contact is just in case we can't DM on this website!😊 alright have a nice day! 👍🏼
