Waking up heart irregular and pounding - anyone else?

I get quite bad panic attacks but sometimes they FREAK ME OUT
I woke up last night after I feel asleep to an irregular pounding heart and feeling like I was going to die ... anyone else get these?!

I"ve had so many tests done on my heart - but I'll go back and check again but does anyone else get this?
It calmed down after a while and the pounding thumping heart stopped quickly once I was awake but it freaked me out - it was like my heart was pounding against my chest like it was about to explode!
Anyone else had this?

Yes! Ive been getting this a lot too recently and often when i am in bed too. My mum developed atrial fibrillation in her 40s, so i am wondering if i am getting the same? But it could also be brought on by panic/anxiety…
