Low white blood cells 7 year old boy!

My son who is 7 has had an enlarged lymph node in neck since last December. Hasn't gotten bigger but hasn't went away, dr did blood test which came back today to say he has a low white blood cell count. He seems fine in himself, usual amount of energy, a bit dark under eyes. He has been referred for further tests and I'm terrified it's something serious, dr Google said leukaemia and now I'm a mess. Anyone else had a low white cell count and its been nothing to worry about?

Hi there, yes, I've had tests with Low white blood cells with both my children and found it scary.
In the end both turned out to bé some form of infection.
Hope you have a better result with the next round of tests.
