low pulse rate

hi, was wondering if anyone else suffers froma low pulse rate?
i have always suffered from a fast rate in the past, but for the past few weeks its gone down to a resting rate of 48-52 bpm
have been the docs who did an ecg which recorded 51bpm, now he has said i have the heart rate of an athlete.....but im lazy! well im always on the go in the house but dont go the gym or anything. & for a long time have suffered panic/anxiety so none of this make sence. i am 36 and over the last few months have lost over a stone in weight (i am now 7st 6lb) could this have anything to do with it? i also stopped smoking 3 weeks ago but the doc doesnt seem to think that is the reason. i do feel a bit dizzy & sick ( but that could be in my mind lol) the doc has said he will send me to see the cardiac consultant & have my heart measured over a 24 hour period. im soooo worrid & have made myself worse searching the net. im now convinced i have heart disease!
your thoughts would be much appreciated

Ya might not wanna do that lol. I think the problem with searching for symptoms on the internet, is that if you think theres something wrong in the first place, you'll be quick to find symptoms to back up your fears. Wait till you get that 24 hour monitor going, I'm sure it'll be okay
