Citalopram positive effects

Hi,
We seem to hear a lot on here about the negative effects off starting Citalopram.
Is there anyone that's started Citalopram without any nasty side effects ?

Medication will NOT cure you - it suppresses the feelings so you still have to address them at some point

Good to hear at least one person didn't have a tough time starting the med.

I had read that and other links regarding the med before.
But I was interested to hear from anyone that didn't go through the nasty effects of this medication.

I have not had any nasty side effects with these tablets, only a slightly sedated feel and a taste in my mouth.

hi, just started them again today for second time and i know how good they make you feel eventually. I am dreading the side effects, it was a bout 5 years ago when i first went on them and didnt feel well for a couple of weeks, followed by a week of intense happiness and feeling of well-being, then stabilised to happy medium where i could carry out daily life with no problems. i can't wait to feel like that again and i know i will. they make the everyday tasks easy to deal with and i had no bad effects once the first few days wore off. good luck

i do have regular therapy alongside my meds to try to learn new behaviours to conquer the anx and dep. u do need to address the cause whilst the meds help u deal with the anx

Thanks to all contributors so far.
The reason I started this thread is that many people come to the forum seeking guidance from experienced med. users. I was trying to show that starting Citalopram was not as bad as some of the other threads made out.
Please keep any good reports coming.

Hi,
I'm on day 6 of citalopram at 10mg had some side affects but now slowly startin to feel good..... Its great!!!Can only get better! Glad i've taken them :0)
