Got To Keep Taking the Prozac

Hi everyone!

Here`s my update! I saw my doctor yesterday as I`m getting low on Fluoxetine (Prozac). He asked how I was feeling and I said fine. He said `what about christmas?`as this was when mt PTSD first kicked in two years ago. I said I wasn`t worried about it and I`m planning to not get stressed! He said I should carry on with the meds until January and then go back and see him. So I`ve got another two months worth. I was hoping he would wean me off straight away! Oh well I suppose I should listen to him. I told him that I realise now I don`t have a brain tumour anymore! As this was my health anxiety to start with and which prompted me to go and see a doctor in the first place! He said no you haven`t it would have got you by now!
I mentioned this website and he has checked it out himself! He said it was really good and I told him how it had helped me a great deal!
Thank you for reading this and I hope continue to improve and eventually not have to rely on the Prozac!

Hi purple fish,

At least you have a time scale in mind and although you don't intend to get stressed over Christmas it is a stressful time of year, and you can start the new year as you plan to continue
