diazepam help

Hi

Can someone help me please, iv been tqaking 2mg of diazepam every night for the last 2 months, is it safe to stop it straight away or will i get side effects?

it is not advisable to stop taking it right away.if you have been taking it for that long..reduce the dosage..half yuor tablet..or better talk to your gp..

My gp said to stop taking it because iv just found out im 4 weeks pregnant?

tough one to call, 4-6 weeks is normally ok to stop without tapering - you've only been taking them for 8 weeks which isn't much longer. Plus your only on a very low dose.

Contact your GP, but i wouldn't worry.

I was one them for 16 years and would always adivse anyone to reduce from a them. Youve only been on a small dose and for a short time so i wouldnt have thought youd have much or any problem. Try reducing by half or even 3/4 of a tablet as theyre easy to break up, but try not to worry about it too much. Maybe you should go and have a word with your gp and tell him your a bit anxious and im sure he will help ease you off them to save you worrying.
