No recorded evidence of social anxiety being caused by drug abuse. Although the socially anxious are prone to abusing both drugs and alcohol in an attempt to self medicate.

Social anxiety tends to form in childeren or teens without any help from drugs.

hi pie ball, i used to take drugs quite heavily in my teens..speed, lsd, ectasy and cannabis, i often wonder if this is linked to my anxiety? Who knows? x

Hi folks

It has been proven that drug abuse in your youth can effect us mentaly when older. I'm not 100% sure of the details but i did watch a programme about it on tv which was very interesting.

i took quite a few drugs cannabis,speed,lsd and so on in my teens, what anxiety i had as a teenager were definatly accelerated with the drug taking this was only experimental and recreational but i think they definatly had a huge impact on my mental health.
