Off to hospital soon!!!!

I am having a minor operation this afternoon for a bartholin's cyst. I am really really worried and nervous about having a general anesthetic even though it will only be for about half an hour and I will be allowed home later today!!

I am dreading the pain too and my biggest dread is that it won't make any difference to the problems I have had recently. My doctor says I have IBS and my stomach is so bad today. I have also had a lot of rectal pain and buttock pain which they think is due to the bartholin cyst.

I am such a mess. And really scared!!! HELP!!!

Wishing you all the best for this afternoon. I always think the anticipation is worse than the procedure; just remind yourself it is a minor little op, and before you know it you will be back home again. Once you have given yourself time to recover, I am sure the other symptoms you have been having will improve. Sending you a big hug xxx

I have had a sigmoidoscopy today, and have worried myself sick all weekend and snapped at anyone who even looked at me! but all went well wasn't as bad as i thought, i feel much better now, i wish you luck ( not that you will need it) you'll be fine x
