    unexpected panic attack

I am due to go on holiday in about 8 weeks time and because I had panic attacks last time I had to go on holiday, I decided to go back on Citalopram 10ml. So my doctor gave me the prescription and i started them on Wednesday.

Well I had a full blown attack yesterday

Has anyone else found that when they've used medication it makes the attacks actually happen to start with? the leaflet with the tablet says that it can happen but I wondered if anyone has experienced this and will it settle down. If not i'm thinking of going for Psychotherapy if needs be.

Any ideas? I woke up this morning at about 5.45 with slight attack feelings but right now I'm holding it together for going to work.

    many thanks

    Hi

When I took citralopram they made me worse for 1 day but I had to come off them as they did noit suit me. Give them a few more days and they may help.

Hi Sharona thanks for your reply.

May I ask why Citalopram didn't suit you ultimately. If you don't want to tell me I don't mind or if you would prefer to pm me?

    Thank you
