My mate phoned me, I tried to get out of it by saying my car is broke, He said no worries He will drive. Damn

I then said I haven't got the money, He offered to pay. Damn again lol.

I feel awful. He'll be here in 10 mins. I feel faint, sick everything.

Erghhhhh. Really don't want to go and I know its the wrong attitude but I cant help it

Wish me luck becuase Im really going to need it. So many bad thoughts racing through my head.

That was the first time I ever went out in somebody elses car in the last year. Normally I have to be in control and drive everywhere myself. That was probably why I was so worked up about going.

And as silly as it sounds ladybird about watching the film thats not all that dull, becuase usually when I panic I dont care for whats going on, and today was no excuse ha. The first 40 minutes of the film I didnt really watch it was all 'stop panicking, Im going to faint, I feel sick, Help' and whatever other thoughts racing through my head.

I got through it fine though, Which is a good thing I suppose, But I know the next time will be just the same :(

what movie are you going to see?
I find that the loud noises set of my anxiety.
look you will be ok nothing awful will happen.
you can leave for a bathroom break or a fag break if you need some air.
got any sedatives you can take?
it's a good thing your going sometimes its good to be pressured into going out of our comfort zones.
when your at the cinema try not to be thinking " i wish i was at home"
think oh wow I'm at the cinema! i never thought I'd be able to do it but look here i am! go me.

One thing we panicers are good at is not giving ourselves any credit if we manage to do something! (I do it all the time )
You haven't been out in anyone's car for a year..but you went witn your fear and got in the bloomin car anyway! (You could have said no)
You felt like crap for the first 40 mins of the film but you didn't do a runner, vomit or faint. (You could have feigned illness and legged it)

Give yourself credit where it's due. Oh by the way..you said "next time will be just the same", you didn't say "I'm never doing it again!)

OMG sMINT that's fantastic! I went a couple of weeks ago with two of my friends and that was terrifying. I went in my own car and I feel like I cheated a little cos I took 2 xanax but 12 months ago I couldn't even set foot inside the cinema so huge pat on the back for you. I understand how torturous that was and i really admire you. Well done!
