Please help

My health anxiety really high at mo really worried cos had headaches for the last 2 weeks. Worried that i may have something bad . Went 2 docs and she said i had viral infection. Never get headaches normally really scared.

There are so many reasons for headaches.

Tension is the usual one.

Are you dehydrated as well?

No dont drink alcohol. Just really scared cos dont normally suffer with headaches had it for 2 weeks now. Been takin painkillers but hasent shifted it.

Well sounds like tension to me then.

I never get a headache and had one for about 3 weeks and it was nothing.

Definitely try more water though.

Oh forgot to say normal pain killers didn't touch mine either - I got something stronger from the chemist that they recommended.

Hi,

I'd definitely take Nicola's advice and make sure you're not dehydrated. If I get a bad head I always try a pint of water first and give it 30 minutes before taking any painkillers, half the time it does the trick.

Actually, if you read the leaflet in the pack, taking too many painkillers over a long period can cause headaches.
