Weight Gain !!

Hi i have been taking Citalopram for nearly a year now and they have really helped me but i wondered if any1 has gained weight due to taking this medication !!

I have been on it for 3 years and have gone fromn a size 10 to 14! now i'm feeling better i'm making an effort to get rid of it. I know lots of people on it and they all say the same. I gave up smoking at the same timne so the 2 combined have turned me into a chunk lol.

I was on a number of different meds and put on nearly 5 stone !!! Been trying to lose it for ages .

I've been on it for 8 weeks...and LOST half a stone.
Putting on weight would be a good thing for me right now...

I was on citalapram a couple of years ago for 6 months and i put on a stone, i wasnt bothered though cause they made me feel so much better ! x

Well i came off implanon implant just as i came onto citalopram and my sis recons that i could lose weight from having the implant removed but since citalopram makes you gain i might just stay stable?

I agree with Sarah Jane... i've had weight gain but not that bothered because i'm so much happier and i've joined a gym which i wouldn't have done before because of low self-esteem, so hopefully i will lose some beef!

i have put on a stone not on it but i find makes me feel better when i eat lost loads whan first started with anxiety
