Hi everyone,
I recently found this site while trying to calm myself during a large panic attack. I have been dealing with high anxiety for years, but just recently have been dealing with HORRIBLE panic attacks. My doctors have told me that my body creates too much adrenaline, which is also triggering anxiety attacks. However, recently, my panic attacks have been destablizing. I was put on Paxil to prevent the attacks, however, I had a horrible reaction to it. I became very ill and it triggered an even worse panic attack. This was just a week ago, ever since, I have had several attacks a day. Particulary starting out when I first wake up, and in the evening. I've been noticing just over the course of the last week, I'm starting to avoid situations and places for fear of one happening. I have been perscribed xanax now to calm me while I'm having one. During the attacks I'm very nauses, chest pains, cold sweats, shaking, dizzy. Does anyone have any advice on how to calm yourself enough when I first feel the signs that I can begin to stop them? I can't handle living like this everyday, it's such an inconvience! Please Help! [V]
