ibs and periods

hi does anyones ibs get worse when on a period my pain is bad dont no if its my bowel or womb thats spasming the most

Yes mine does in the days leading up to my period. I think it's something to do with the uterus swelling and putting pressure on the bowel etc.

I don't have IBS, but I do find things 'pass through' quickly on the first day of my period; never knew why though.

Hi bronte, i suffer from ibs and i get terrible flare ups when im due my period. Try not to worry as it will only make it worse

I get bad ibs first day of my period, it's agony.

I'm the same - day before and first 2 days of period by ibs is really bad - and get really bad cramp as well - the pain goes right down my legs.
I also find my ibs is worse on the days my anxiety is worse and when i am having panic attacks.
