Pain in the chest ?

Hi i have been having some pain in the chest area left side on the top just below my collar bone and also underneath my left breast a sharp pain in my rib area if that makes sence?
It started when i moved some heavey matting out of my horses stable a few weeks ago then it sort of calmed down now its back again,i always think i'm having a heart attack which results in my panic and i think makes matters worse

I have booked an apointment at my Drs for monday,but just wanted some advice first as i tend to worry about things.

I know how you feel because i always panic when i get chest pains. Its sounds as if you have pulled a muscle. I have a condition called costachondritis which is nothing to do with the heart its inflamation in the chest wall, but it can cause awful chest pains. Its been going on for over 2 years now and i still panic all the time. Your doctor will put your mind at rest.

Thanks for the reply,yes i have heard about that condition but do not know a lot about it !what is it and did your just start ?
