    asymmetrical tonsil worry

    hello everyone,
hope someone replies as noone did to my last one

as ever, with h.a., its a different worry every day! i went to the docs two days ago as i was having a sore throat. he confirmed it was due to my smoking so am quitting. but my prob is i stupidly looked in my throat today as it was still sore and noticed that one tonsil was bigger and a lumpier shape than the other. now my rational mind tells me that the doc would have said if he was at all concerned. i do have faith in him and he is well recommended. but i cant shake the thought that he may have not looked properly (even tho he had a torch and was standing right over me!). does anyone else have tonsils that dont look the same. this h.a. drives me mad. hav had it for nearly 5 years. i know all the tips and tricks to calm it but my negative thoughts are always more powerful and overtake me. grrrrrrrr.

anyway, any help would be appreciated.

    thank u.

    Re: asymmetrical tonsil worry

Pretty much every area of a normal body is asymmetrical.
In regards to the tonsils, yes mine are very asymmetrical. On my left side there's basically nothing there, while the right one is quite big.
