I have just looked this up for you and NO you must not take them together. I'll try to post the link for you.

Look under interactions.
P.s ignore all the side effect stuff, they put it there for legal reasons.
Sheesh Thx Hazel
Chucking the Valerian right to the back of the med box as we speak
Anytime, it's always best to check interactions, in the day time you can ring any chemist and they will tell you.
I tried Valerian (Kalms) night time once last week after a few nights of Diazepam and the bloody Kalms tablet gave me the worst stomach ache, it's rare but I was unlucky. I was waking up 5-7 times a night with anxiety but down to only about twice now. I'm trying to walk every day and not nap in the afternoon. Also having counselling as part of my problem is I have kept traumatic and upsetting things in my head for years and it all needs to come out.
Hope you sleep better tonight.
Hi Gaz
I normally use the interactions checker on www.drugs.com - it's really handy when you need this type of info. Give it a try - I normally don't pay any attention to moderate reactions, it's the severe reactions you need to keep an eye on. Example of a listed moderate reaction is between citalopram and lorazepam, which doctors prescribe together all the time.
All the best
Rich
