    DVT?

I've been having mild pain in my right leg. I took a measurement of both calfs. The right one was a cm more. It has a little lump on about 2 inches from my knee at the front, not the back. Could this be a DVT? I'm worrying myself sick.

I'm sure it won't be DVT is meant to be really sore isn't it, and it's supposed to make your skin red/purpley etc... Maybe give NHS direct a call if you're really worried? x

    Re: DVT?

Went to the hospital as I was in panic mode, couldn't let it go. They did a blood test, which tested negative for clots but I have to go back on Tuesday for an Ultrasound because of the lump on my leg. She said it wasn't a clot but could be something else. I wonder what... Any ideas anyone?

Ahh well at least you know it's not a clot
Have you banged your leg at all lately, sometimes that can result in a bit of a lump? Fluid retention as well might make your leg seem a bit lumpy too... You can get lipomas too seemingly (fatty lumps) which are perfectly harmless... You can also get blocked glands under the skin (they don't necessarily hurt). I'm sure it is nothing too worrying, good on you for getting it checked out and good luck with the ultrasound let us know how it goes x

    Thanks for replying Daisycake!

I'm so relieved it wasn't a clot, as you say it's probably little of nothing. I can't remember bumping my leg but I have been walking quite a lot this last week, maybe that's a contributing factor...?

Oh yes hun, bumping your leg, and all that walking...sounds like youve just got some inflammation and maybe with walking aggrivated it...you'll be fine Im sure! xxx
