citalopram what is your longest time?

hi just curious on how long eveyone has been on this tablet and what is your doseage?

i have been on them for over 6 years now. i started on 20mg then it kept going up and up and up i was on the max doseage of 60mg for about half a year then went down to 40mg and now i am currently taking 50mg a day.

I was on them for 3.5 years. 10mg then 20mg and that was enough to help me enough to get over the agoraphobia/start leading a more 'normal' life.

I stopped when I fell pregnant with my daughter (3 years ago) and started them again 3 weeks ago. Have a feeling I will probably be on them longer this time round (on 10mg at the moment), despite my GP saying otherwise.

I have been on citalopram off and on for 6years my dosage has been between 10mg to 40mg which is what i'm currently on,finding side effects quite bad though.

Hi Cozza.
I have been on cit for 7 months .Can you honestly say that the side effects actually do disappear??
I am so concerned that they wont.
Yes I have changed my life around I only do part time work now. I have no real responsibilities - I even applied for another job so I dont think I am failing in the recovery bit. I just wanted to know - will the heavy heads and the dizziness bit eventually go. Its a shame if I have to put up with that, my doctor does not seem too concerned, he thinks I am dong well. I dont know is it just me??
