    symptoms without panic

    Hi
I'm still getting all the horrible symptoms - palpitations, light headed, tense muscles - but they aren't scaring me anymore (at least most of the time!). Does this mean I'm getting better or have they been around so long, I'm just used to them now? If I am getting better how long does it take for the symptoms to go, especially the light headedness which is horrid?
    Thanks
    Helen

I think it's part and parcel of getting better all right.
But if the symptoms are still there, that means on some level you are still anxious - just not as much as before.
I don't know what to tell you. I feel like I'm in exactly the same boat - I'm so used to the symptoms that they don't scare me anymore but they can be quite painful/uncomfortable all by themselves.
Sometimes when I think back to when I used to be normal if I had head, ear and neck pain like I do now - I would have just taken a few painkillers and taken to my bed for the evening. Now I just get on with it as if pain/discomfort is just a totally natural part of life.
