Sertraline for 10 days

Hi my name is justinethis is my first post just would like some reasurrance been suffering anxeity and depression and constant worring for 3 months since my mum passed away the doctor put me on sertrline a little while ago but only just started taking 10 days ago apart from a bad head and not being able to think straight nothing seems to be happening still worring about getting every side affect going just so frusated

Its tough but I am getting told its worth it.

I'm on week four and still suffering.no let up just yet but I'm carrying on.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like ur having a really tough time.

I am 3 months into Sertraline and had a tough first 10 days then fine. Had a blip at week 4 but now all is fine.
I have tried various antidepressants in the past and the side effects of Sertraline have been minimal compared to prozac or citralopram. Basically side effects are different for everyone, so please try not to worry. Not easy I know but you are on the right tracks for feeling better.
Have a search through my posts and other posts on here regarding Sertraline - i think they will help you.

Stick with it, you should start to feel better soon and most of the grotty side effects will go. Sorry to hear about your mum passing, don't be afraid to ask the doctor if you think some counselling might help x
