hi the first and best thing to remember is that no matter how frightened you feel, no harm will come to you. There are millions of people who experience panic attacks and not one of them has ever died or had a heart attack as a result of a panic attack. Just breathe through it and let the panic run its course without trying to fight it away, just let it happen and wait for it to pass. Which it WILL DO.

Stay positive. You WILL get through this, when I feel bad I sometimes find it helps to read the 'Panic Attacks' page on the left hand side of this site under 'Problems/Issues'. It generally calms me down a bit. You will be absolutely fine!

Don't resist it, you would merely aggravate it, just lay down and let the feeling pass, consciously knowing that you'll be fine when this is over.

But think about it, youve had this so many times before, and nothing did happen did it?! I must have had 2000 panic attacks, and everytime I thought "oh this is it, Im REALLY going to die/faint"...and I never did. And neither will you. Knowledge is KEY. As soon as you understand whats going on in your body, and REALLY understand it cant hurt you, only then can you begin recovery. x
