On period - Pains up bottom

I'm on my period now and i get really awful pains, not just in my tummy but up my bottom too.
I've onlly noticed it a few times before, I get sharp pains in my stomach along wit sharp pains up my bottom, it's so painful and makes me flinch.
It's making me panic which is making my stomach feel worse.

Is it normal? As i think ive only had it once before on my period.

It's not just the odd pain, it's lots together.

hi miss moose! i get this all the time when my period is quite heavy (sorry TMI). they are so painful, almost like a shock - a stabbing pain that ripples through me! i have always assumed it is like trappped gas or something nasty, not thought too much into it, but i would say it is nothing to worry about..

just to say you are not alone and i *think* it's normal!

It's just as you describe, stabbing pains and almost like spasms that stop me in my steps.
I also get really heavy periods, and always get diareah (TIM) when i'm on them which also hurts my bottom.

It's usually around my 3rd - 5th day (mine last 8 days) when i'm at my worst, always get bad stomach, back and leg cramps.

Hiya Miss M, Ive had this too a few times, totally out of the blue...cant remember if I was on my monthly at the time though...it kinda feels like someone just stuck a red hot poker up your jacksy...ouch! I think its common in us ladies as all the bits and bobs are connected in that area.....oh the joys!!! x

i think this also happens when i have a bit of stomach problem too... and paula definitely agree with you on the hot poker comment!! ouuuuch!!

hope it passes soon miss.. and oh yes plenty of leg cramps too, sore tops of legs, all over aching...ahh the joys indeedy!

I think i might have a sex change so i dont have to deal with the joys of being a woman, not sure Mr Moose would be so happy though
