    worry balls

Hi, does anyone use worry balls to calm themself ?

My cbt told me i should get some because when we feel that jittery feeling when we panic,
Our legs start to feel like they are jumping all over the place.
worry balls can help get the jittery feeling away.

He said its the ying and yang effect ??? no idea what that means lol
but apparently they press on the pressure points in the hand and make a quiet sound thats very soothing.

I tried his out and was impressed how calm they made me feel - i wasnt expecting it!

MY CBT CALLS THEM WORRY BALLS BUT IF YOU LOOK UNDER
" CHINESE BALLS" IN EBAY YOU WILL FIND THEM.

MAKE SURE THEY MAKE A CHIME SOUND BECAUSE THE SOUND IS FANTASTIC FOR RELAXATION.

You can get them from Avon I think. They're quite inexpensive as I remember. I guess it's as much having something to do with your hands to take your mind off of your anxiety than anything else. I know I hate to be still & silent if I'm feeling anxious, so always fiddle with something

    Thanks for posting this Mirry.

I'm going to try to get hold of some too. When I get anxious Ii am always fiddling with something in my hands and worry balls sound much more helpful.

    Hi

Chineese Worry Balls are an old eastern remedy that was used in meditation to help focus the mind. They are supposed to balance the ying and yang (male and female) elements within your phsyci so making you relaxed and calm. As you roll the balls they rub against the pressure points in your hands, Chineese medice is based around the fact that altering the pressure on the points alters the way the blood flows and balances out "bad karma", acuputure works by blocking paths with needles in pressure points. You can get balls tha make a sound, there are different ones I recommend them for use but get ones that make a pleasing sound to you. You can get them at these stores that sell things like incencese or ebay or naovelty stores

I have some worry dolls as well, Lucy. And also a "worry stone", which is a small oval piece of marble with an indentation in one side that you rub with your thumb when you are worried, to take your mind off it. As it's only about 1.5inches long, I don't go anywhere without it!
