Hiya,

OK this is a bit odd but.....

Due to certain software i run on my machine (using java)...... I cant run the chatroom at the same time.....

Is there a java free way of accessing???

Of course...... there is/was/can be an obvious workaround..... i'm running the offending software on a diff machine for now!!!!...... some days i'm plain stupid!!!!!

Nope not yet........ Plan A was obvious and simple....... Plan B..... ummmmmm anyone have any ideas???? chat has worked before on here (linuxed laptop) but now seems to want me to install java (which oddly is installed) Pah....... I dislike java!!!!..... The chatroom is IRC can i not just use a standard IRC client??? (my guess is no lol)

What version of java are you running?

Our chat is not IRC based.

What software are you running that means you can't run it?

Hi Nicola,

I thought it was down to running vuze...... but its not, i'm running java 6 (if i can get my linux head into gear i can tell you all about it)......

I'll keep prodding at the problem!!!!.

It was latest version....... i fixed it with bruteforce and a nice reboot and swear at the computer session
