All is not well with me! Still cant access chat room. I used to be able to get in with no bother but now cant. Ive updated java, been in touch with server all to no avail.
Help anyone please!

Hi Nicola,
Ive been into tools and checked everything out there. Im not sure where parenting thingy is...total novice were pc's are concrned Im afraid! I phoned server and they didnt know what I was on about..perhaps I didnt explain myself properly.
I think I will try going onto nmp on my daughter laptop and see if its just my computer. Will let you know what happens.

Hi Nicola,
Ive just got into chat on my daughters laptop so its obviously not a server issue. Could you advise me how I get onto the parental control? Im hoping its this as otherwise I may just throw out this useless pc ands its driving me nuts!

I don't know anything about the parental control to be honest. It was something Lisa suggested but I don't know if she knows how to change it lol.
It still could be a java issue. Have you re-installed that did you say?

Have you got pop ups blocked switched on? if so you need to switch it off for chat.

Hi Nicola and Diane,
Ive installed java from the link you gave and Ive got the pop-up blocker off. The trouble is Ive ticked that many different boxes in tools Im not sure what should and shouldnt be ticked! I think for quiz night and nmp party I will have to lock my daughter up in a cupboard and pinch her laptop!!!

Do you use Internet Explorer?
If so the click on tools then internet options and then security. At the bottom of that screen what level of security is set ? Is it high or medium high?

Also parental control is under tools internet options then content and parental controls. Have a look in there as well
