Globus? Or something in throat ?

I've done so much reading you'd think I'd be sure it's globus. It feels like a piece of food is stuck in my throat not so much like a lump though. Sometimes it feels lower and sometimes higher. Yesterday it got so bad I thought I would choke but it eventually got better. It doesn't bother me at all when I sleep or when I eat and drink. But other than that it seems to be always there and I can't stop focusing on it. Of course you google something in throat and cancer pops up and my mind wanders what if it's that.
Any advice how to stop focusing on it? Or how to stop the sensation? I did just start cipralex today for anxiety. I am hoping it helps.

Just to add I did get a referral to an ENT I will bring it up to him when I see him if it hasn't gone away by then.

I've had the same sensation for about two years now
my doctor is putting it down to Silent reflux or Globus(i have a barium test in march so if i end up going i'll find out then) it is rather uncomfortable and scary but i find it helpful to just watch tv,and do things to distract myself x
