Difficulty swallowing

I have been going through this for a few mouths, I go to take a drink and I try to swallow it and its like my throat stops me or close up on me and I start to gulp for air I can feel the air going down and I can't catch my breath, the first time it happened I wasn't drinking anything I was in the shower washing my hair I tilt my head and I feel something go down and I loss my breath its like airlock I can't breath through my mouth or nose all I can do is gasp and gasp for air, until I can get some air into my lungs, after that I start coughing like really hard to the point where I almost vomit.this as been happening on and off and its starting to worry me.I just want to be able to take a nice long drink without choking on it. I do have a doctor's appointment on monday.

Glad to read you have a doctors appointment, that is important. Keep in mind that tightness in your throat is also a major anxiety symptom!
