food sticks one side of throat

Hi,

I am worried about this, its been going on for months but havent given it much attention until now after reading about throat cancer etc

everytime i eat i get the feeling food or a pill is stuck on the right hand side of my throat just at the bottom of the neck

also when i vape on that same side of my throat after it i wheeze

also if i run i feel that side of the throat get like hot, burning, like the cold air pressing against it, all down the right side

i havent been to docs about it yet, i do suffer from gerd

should i be worried ?

Well if you suffer from Gerd... I think that's your answer.

I don't think you should be worried. If you decide that you should worry then go and speak to your GP.

thanks but why just one side of my throat ? my lungs are fine the doc checked them, i even sometimes choke on water if i drink it too fast but i guess anyone could

has anyone else had similar symptoms ?

i am stopping my vape cigarette for sure, it cant be good wheezing everytime i smoke it

Perhaps reflux only affected that part of the throat?

My coworker vapes and has for 15 years, she even wheezes when she vapes sometimes so that could just be down to the vape pen itself,
as for as the one sided feeling i get that with my GERD and it's okay, i've had a clear ultrasound and i'm seeing a gastro expert on the 17th so i can keep you updated if you'd like x

yeah of course x, and oh boy do i? i get generally it on a regular basis, it's a mixture of reflux, globus and anxiety usually x

When you told the doc about this to start did he or she seem concerned ? Did they say it's to do with Gerd?

When I first told them my doctor said it was possible classic GERD but wanted to make sure my dysphagia was down to that and not something else which is what they're currently figuring out, he wasn't concerned all that much and thinks its down to Silent reflux but booked the Gastro expert just to be sure x
