Start up anxiety

Hi all, first post here. Just looking for a bit of encouragement really. On day 18 of fluoxetine and feeling really anxious from early morning (as soon as I open my eyes basically) until I am lying in bed at night ready to sleep. Cannot concentrate at work, constant thoughts and what ifs, which in turn give me that 'fight or flight' feeling. I'm irritable, tired and don't want to socialise with anyone really. Isolating more and more.

Does anyone have any advice or share any of my experience? Would just be good to know I'm not alone in this and things might get better soon.

I am on week 6 was on 10mg for 2 weeks and coming up to 4 weeks on 20mg I am in the same boat as you going to give it 3 more weeks I think.

Thanks for the reply shadow. It's worse today, totally wired. Restless legs like crazy today. How are you doing? I'm hoping to make it to 6 weeks too and see how I am.

Sorry Roman forgot to get back to you still feel like crap its worse in the mornings I wake up shaking its 4 weeks for me now on 20mg will give it a few more weeks I think how are you doing?

Hey shadow. Really sorry to hear that, hope it gets better soon. I still feel anxious and crap a lot of the time, it feels like it might be getting a little bit better. Still pretty unbearable first thing in the morning though. Just really uneasy, absolutely no way I could think of going back to sleep after waking around 6am. Go to bed and feel ok'ish then wake up almost with a feeling of terror / doom. Don't know if that makes any sense! I'm going to go a few more weeks too (also on week 4).

How are you feeling now? Still no luck with me and not been able to go to collage because its so bad.

Not being funny Shadowstriker but it really should be helping you by now. I would go back to your GP and ask about next step.

I have a appointment tomorrow and I think I will tell my Dr unless he gives me anti anxiety med's I will quit it it is not fair to be putting up with it like this after 6 weeks and I cant concentrate in collage because it is also increasing my social anxiety.

Update the Dr said give it 3 more weeks I bet after 3 he will say 3 more weeks again.
