It can take a while for them to get back to you,
if you're concerned i'd suggest maybe asking your doctor just to be sure? x

I waited 6 months at one point, you could ask your GP to phone and check where you are on the waiting list.

Another cheer for mental health services!! Hip hip hooray! It really makes my blood boil! Wabbit waiting for six months and yourself since October that's terrible! I doubt any other nhs services would have waits anything like that!
Phone your doctor and ask them to pursue it for you.

Good luck and keep us posted.

    Re: Panicking about CMHT

My GP referred me and I had a call within days.

In my city the waiting time for help by these guys is a minimum 12 months. The nurse did say I would be seen quickly but would then be put into the long queue.

I didn't go that route, they helped speed up the CBT the IAPT provider was being difficult over.

So, it could be they are variable in how fast they contact you but it's also possible they don't even know you have been referred too. When I was referred to IAPT by my GP, I had to ask 3 times in 3 months. When I finally heard back they were bang on time with their 30 day referral process for Guided Self Help and gave me no reason to doubt them, other than the isolated issue with the CBT later which was forced on them by bosses above anyway. They had never had any of the previous letters and given the amount of mistakes my surgery have made over the years, it's most likely they were never sent. Then there is the issue of missing post.

    I would push your GP.
