    Escitalopram-induced depersonalisation/derealisation

I've started taking Escitalopram last Tuesday, 5 mg at first and then moved up to 10 mg (full dose) yesterday. Although I have noticed a change in my mood as I feel more uplifted and my anxiety levels appear to be generally lower, I seem to be more prone to depersonalisation/derealisation. It's really unsettling and I just wonder how long it will take for the medication to start working... Is DP/DR an early side-effect of Escitalopram?

Can anyone help me with personal experience and/or advice?

    Thank you

Hi Ana, how are you feeling now? Has the DP/DR improved? I am on escitalopram 20mg and have had DP/DR constantly for over a year now (it started before taking the escitalopram though) x
