    Ibs symptoms all the time?

    Heya,
Just came across this website and it seems that I'm not alone.
I have had ibs for several years along with anxiety.
I'm taking propranolol to control my anxiety symptoms and colonic for my ibs.
I've noticed that everyday I'm getting middle to lower back ache along with lower abdominal ache. This appears to be constant.
I go from ibs d to ibs c in the space of a few days. I had a ultrasound scan and the doctors said everything looks fine in lower abdomen.
I was wondering if anyone else experiences this aching constantly and how to treat it?
I find when stressed the symptoms are worse

I have it constantly too. I use silicol gel for ibs d but like you it varies and I get ibs c too. I wake up every morning with awful lower back pain and abdominal pain but it eases off a bit when I start moving about.

Count me in. I have constant back pain that ranges from lower left, center left and then up toward the middle. I also have lower left abdominal pain. Anxiety makes my symptoms worse too especially when it comes to pain.

    Thanks for the replies
It's reassuring to know that it's a common symptom although horrible to have :( I get terrible back pain daily and at only 22 it isn't nice..
I'm on colofac but take buscopan if having bad flare ups

Re: Ibs symptoms all the time?

Mine presents often as a pressure in my lower abdomen and I usually have to go to a soft or liquid diet for a day or two to quiet things down. Be it inflammation or a blockage or a fiber issue or just a run o' the mill IBS issue, it's always worrisome (and bothersome!) to me. But I try and recall that despite it's reoccurence I am still here and I just try to treat my body with as much kindness as possible.

I'm sorry so many people can relate.

    Hi Shazza
I would like to recommend some treatrments for IBS that I think effective:
    - Fennel Seeds: it can reduce the intestinal spasms as well as bloating, the two common symptoms of IBS and prevent the formation of mucus in your intestine that is believed to partly cause IBS. SO you should drink fennel seed tea every day.
    - Ginger:

    • Place on half teaspoon of raw grated ginger in one glass of hot water
    • Steep it for around 15 minutes and strain out the ginger
    • Mix it with a little amount of honey and enjoy the tea
    • Consume the tea up to thrice per day to ease the symptom of abdominal pain

    - Chamomile is considered a great treatment for diarrhea as well.

    • Add three teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers in one glass of boiled water
    • Wait for 15 minutes to allow it steep
    • Strain it out and add a little amount of lemon juice
    • Consume the herbal tea thrice a day

If you want to know more anout other treaments for IBS, you can read here https://authorityremedies.com/home-r...owel-syndrome/

Hope you will get well soon!
