    Lexapro with omeprazole (Prilosec) safe?

I hear it has a moderate interaction I'm only on 5mg of lexapro but I have intense GERD. Anyone take these 2 together?

There is an intera toon so I would check with your gp/ pharmacy. I also suffer from gerd and I take 10mg lexapro + 150-300mg ranitidine (zantac). There is no interaction and it controls my gerd.

    Hi RaeRae,

I take 10mg Lexapro/cipralex and have started taking 20mg of omeprazole for eosophogitis.

Taking both is 1000% safe as I have asked both consultants for reasurance. The answer I got was

"Taking omeprazole and lexapro at the same time slighty increases the blood plasma levels of lexapro but not to any significant clinical amount and will NOT cause you any problems."

This is a quote from my doctors and you can ask your own to verify this.
