Massive increase in anxiety after dosage upped 20mg to 40mg

Hello

Is anyone on 40mg of citalopram? I have been on 20mg for a year and doctor upped my dose to 40mg as 20 was doing nothing to help me, since taking the 40mg I have felt constantly sick, loss of appetite and just odd, tingly pins and needles increased heart rate and just a gnawing feeling of constant anxiety that isn't developing into a full blown panic attack, has anyone else experienced this and will it settle down? Thanks

I am on 40mg of citalopram, I recently was upped from 20mg to 30mg and now 40mg, I had a few side effects when the dose was upped but nothing significant. My doctor is trying to find the right dose for me. I have only been on 40mg for 2 weeks.

How long have you been taking 40mg? Perhaps going to 30mg might of been better for you before going up to 40mg.

Hi I was 20mg for 2 years then in March I had High Anxiety and was put on 30mg aftre a few weeks nothing was getting better so I stupidly went to 40mg. it was pretty aweful for 3 weeks I was like a robot, high Anxiety and no Sex drive at all. I was stupid 40mg was self prescribed and I've siunce spoken to doctor and come back down to 30mg and aftre 2 weeks feeling 'back in the room' no anxiety. It sounds like 40mg might have been to big a jump like me.
