I'm a long time lurker here and have suffered from OCD/HA for many years. I thought it was under control - I've more or less got over irrational fears about someone contaminating my food and have learned to laugh at my HA (especially since a real health issue last year). Until this morning when I came back to my (private, keycard controlled) office this morning to find used chewing gum stuck to my desk. Neither I nor my two coworkers chew gum. Common sense tells me it was probably a cleaner or a bored kid accompanying their mum while on half term, but it has still triggered a major panic attack and all my previous fears of intruders, poisoning, paranoia etc are flooding back. Any advice or suggestions? I've already asked building management to check if anyone was in.
