He might mean he feels compelled to read everything he sees. If so, I had that at my worst of OCD. Having to read and re-read pretty much everything I saw and it made my anxiety worse. It took over. It's not really any different to the urges to touch objects, check things, ask people to repeat statements, etc.Originally Posted by nomorepanic
OP - has your anxiety been getting worse or has it been this bad for a while? If not, could this be due to you being under any stress? If it's part of an ongoing cycle then my own experience with that was that it was about overwhelming levels of ongoing daily anxiety and it took a long time to deal with. But if it's new then it may be easier to deal with.
