Can't you just ask for a bit of time away from your work, it is for an important reason. If you don't call today, when can you call ?

Don't go back and check the smell, there is no reason to do that. You've done really well to ignore them and do better for a few days, don't go backwards on that now as you've made real progress.

Thank you, last night smelt bonfire in air walking home but told self it was windy so likely it was real bonfire somewhere.

eating dinner, asked OH if he was ok, at same time I thought I had tinnitus, alongside washing machine and heater so got distracted, he said 'about what' I can't remember what I said or his answer. I think I saif about money and kept eating my dinner.
