Citalopram & sleeping!

Im new to this forum, ive now been taking citalopram for just over 2 weeks and dont think its kicked in YET! Im still sometimes feeling as down as i did and have the usual side affects like tiredness and loss of appetite!

But lastnight something strange happened. I woke up this morning to my partner asking me if I remember anything from the night before. I had got out of bed, picked up my mobile phone, gone down stairs to my sitting room and sat on one of the sofas. I never responded to him when i was down there and didnt touch anything else apart from my phone. All this was news to me. I had no idea and STILL dont remember doing any of this. Ive never ever suffered from sleep walking before so this is all new to me. Im thinking it might have something to do with this medication.

Hi, I wouldn't worry about it. Cit can cause sleep disturbances and weird dreams, and as far as I know sleepwalking is a harmless if rather bizarre thing that occurs naturally and does not mean there is anything to worry about. My sister used to be able to hold conversations while she was fast asleep and wouldn't remember anything about it later. The human brain is vastly unexplored and there is a ton of stuff nobody understands, but honestly, if it was something to worry about we would have heard about it long ago.
