Yawning all the time

so effexor isnt helping anymore so my doc said to
reduce it slowly and start zoloft.
im now on 50mg per day zoloft and 75mg per day effexor which i am
tapering off slowly.i guess in a week or so i will have stopped taking
it and be on zoloft only.
one thing that ive noticed though is that
since i started taking zoloft i have excessive yawning.
most of them are incomplete, i feel that i want to yawn but i cant.

anybody else have have experienced something simmlar??

It's one of the common side effects of Sertraline, according to the pack leaflet, 1 in 10. I think once it kicks in, it's one that takes a while by the way, it should settle down.

Yep i have this as part of my anxiety. Started sertraline day 12 at 50mg and it definitely worse but i have been told it will get worse before better!! keep strong.

thanks guys, im glad that is a common side effect and nothing special because i had started worring.
also during the day apart from the excessive yawning, i feel the urge of taking deep breathes, most of them kind of uncomplete and i dont get that satisfactory feeling that you have when you yawn nor when i take the deep breath. these deep breaths are simmilar to uncomplete yawning though.
anyway. hope its something simmilar and not and issue.

well sometimes during yawning i shake i little bit, but i think everybody does that.

It took 5 weeks on 50mg before it settled for me
I still find myself clenching my teeth sometimes

soo after 2 weeks on zoloft. excessive yawning stoped.
thats a good thing cuz i thought it will go on forever.
now i tend to yawn occassionally.
and i dont have the yawning attacks (yawning 100 times in les than an hour) anymore.
also the urge to take deep breathes has been reduced by 80%.
