Asymmetrical Tonsil

Good morning,

34 year old male, former off and on smoker with a family history of cancer (which is im assuming is the big cause of my HA)

A little over a year ago I noticed that I had an asymmetrical tonsil, went through the classic google freak out and managed to get over it. I don’t have any major red flag symptoms of cancer, but over the past month or so I have had some off and on ear/neck discomfort which I’ve been trying to chalk up to seasonal allergies. I was just hoping someone has had something similar. The tonsil in question isn’t huge, doesn’t really reach into my throat at all, it’s just that the other isn’t visible at all which causes my worry. If this was something to worry about would this have grown in the past year, ulcerated or caused more worrying symptoms?

I appreciate the response! I’ve been trying to take comfort in fact it’s natural and the assumption that if something was really wrong there would be change in a year
