crackling in ear

I've got this really loud crackling/popping in my right ear which could be fluid or wax due to a cold as I do have a chest infection but my mind has gone to maybe a spider crawled in it in my sleep last night even though I didn't notice the symptoms this morning :/

Just wanted to say that it sounds very liquidy tonight struggling to sleep as I like to on my right side but the ear sounds worse when I lie on it

Gonna make a GP appointment tomorrow because my antibiotics hasn't cleared up my chest infection breathing is worse from and can't hurt to get the ear checked as it might be fluid retention or a ruptured eardrum
Either way its funny how I only seen to care if it kills me but I'm sat tonight quite happy(apart from the imaginary watery bubbles in my ears haha) and not worried about going deaf ect x
