    Increased to 30mg

    Hi everyone,
I have changed from cirtalopram to mirtazapine a month ago.
I have had 28 days on them.
I have been on 15mg a day and it has helped with sleep and eating, for which I'm truely grateful. It has not lifted my mood much so GP has doubled the dose. Two days in, and two night with night sweats (which I got over on 15mg), and much increased anxiety and dizzyness and more depression?
    Anyone been through this?
Should I maintain this larger dose....
    Or drop back to 15mg.
I have heard it can take 6-8 weeks for some effect.
    Any advise welcome.
    Cheers

    Re: Increased to 30mg

I've been on it for years. Experience tells me that whenever a dose is increased, I'll feel the side effects all over again. However, they do pass and hopefully the positive effects will kick in. Unfortunately all meds for depression take time - if only there was a magic pill!
