    First day of Venlafaxine

I'm only taking 6.25 twice a day. I need to start out slowly. I'm hopeful if I go up slowly the side effects won't be as bad. I'm going to keep my journal here. Any positive stories?

Just an update. I'm on day 7 of 25MG and am feeling an increase in nervousness/Anxiety. I did read this is a side effects. I'm hoping it will go away as my body adjusts. I'm supposed to increase to 50MG, but I think that may be going to fast right? Should I just give my body another week on the 25MG. What do you guys think? Right now i'm taking Klonopin along with the Effexor.

    Hi Linda,
Did you start out at 75? Or did you start out lower and increase? Did your initial side effects pass?

I'm the same. I tend to be okay the first few days and then side effects hit me around day 4- sometimes a bit later on, depending on the med, and sometimes the first day (depending on the medication).

Every med effects me differently. I am experiencing slight nausea and a reduced appetite, some nervous and anxious thoughts, and sleepiness. I'm amazed that you started at 75MG. i would have been climbing the wall. I plan to stay at 25MG for about 10 days. I don't know if i should just make the leap to 50 or cut the pills to 37.5. I want to get better, but obviously don't want to be overly anxious. What what you do?
