help needed venlalic xl

I have just been changed from from 150 mg of venlalic to 225 mg and has been 7 days and i feel worse than ever , was taking 150 mg for 6 weeks and prior to that was on 75 mg for 4 weeks . my anxiety in the morning is really worrying me as trying to keep a full time job and getting to the stage where i dont think i can do it any more, could it be some side affects of the change of dose as just want to stop taking them .

In experience when upping the dose of Ven, my Anxiety would rise.
If worried I would go back to your doctor, 150-225 is quite a jump aswell?

i thought it was a high dose but all doctor said was give it time , how much more do i need to suffer ????????

It does take a lot of time im afraid, and its not easy.
I wouldn't wish what I went through and felt on anybody!
Theres plenty of people on here to talk to, many are going through the same thing or have been through it.

I also had my dose upped from 150 to 225mg. It took about 2 - 3 weeks to settle down. Even now 12 weeks in I still get moods and panic attacks but I fell that I can cope with them without needing to do anything drastic. Have you been having any other help such as CBT, or are you just on the tablets, My doctor did suggest that I get some therapy and this has helped me get through some of the worst of the moods.
So don't give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel even though at the moment it might not seem that way.

Thanks for the advice , I have had some cbt and doing an anxiety course but just need to find some form of light

12 days on higher dose and my anxiety is really bad in morning but by lunch time it gets better , is this normal ?? I guess the pills must be doing something

I found anxiety always was worse in the mornings :(

Doctor has cut down dose and wants to add citalipram to the mix , anyone else tried this ?
