Throat/Tongue symptoms caused by anxiety?

Hey guys. Still going through the same symptoms. I now have been feeling around my neck and feel a small bump that I can roll between my fingers. It’s located right on my upper part of my neck toward middle of neck by throat. I’m starting to think this is cancer and worrying again. Trying to enjoy vacation but these throat issues are wild.

My symptoms seem to be getting better but then they come back. I'm still worrying that this is cancer growing as my throat still looks the same as it has before and doesn't seem to get better!

It's driving me nuts.

As you know I’ve been struggling with worry over potential throat or base of tongue cancer. This all began after I had a mucocele in my lip. I’ve checked my mouth constantly and now I’m worrying After spouse said it does look weird in regards to my tongue. I feel like something is in the back of my throat and it never goes away. Dry like feeling too. I scheduled a doctor appointment tomorrow morning to have me checked and I’ll probably go back to my ENT.

I’ve been to ENT for follow up on mucocele surgery and he checked it out. He informed me my throat looks cobblestones and says it might be allergies (which I’ve never had) or acid reflux.

Don't you think they would have seen something out of the ordinary?

Just nothing has changed in months. My tongue also looks different so idk. Maybe they didn’t see it then now it’s obvious?

I’m going to doctor tomorrow to have her check. If anything I can talk to her about anxiety.

I don’t even know what the symptoms of base of tongue cancer would be. I’ve just been worried ever since the mucocele and as you know googling about throat cancer. I’ve never smoked or drank but did have oral sex so in my mind I’m like “oh no.”

Last time I spoke to doctor and asked about anxiety they said they like to rule out serious conditions before they go down that road. It’s just been so long with these irritated uncomfortable throat issues I can’t stand it.

I really hope it’s not cancer but I think it might be.

For an anxiety sufferer...of course not! 14 doctors could easily not know what they’re looking for.

Had a good talk with my doctor today both about my symptoms and about anxiety. She offered to do one last step which would be a CT scan. Once that comes back negative which she says it most likely will then we can discuss anxiety and how to cope.

I also talked to my doctor about health anxiety and all that stuff. She said rather than googling to shoot her an email instead. I hope the CT scan comes back negative. :(
