This subject has been brought up before. IMO, way too many people place too much importance on social media. Personally, if it weren't for my music and staying in touch with family and a few friends, I wouldn't be on FB. I post my shows and and occasional cat pics
And again, it's the internet. A simple click of the little "x" at the top right of the screen and it all goes away. If it's causing stress, just delete your profile.

"Eat. Drink. Enjoy the work you do. Be thankful for the blessings God gives you in this life. Live, love and seek out the things that bring your heart joy. The rest is meaningless... Like chasing the wind." King Solomon

I came off Facebook around 18 months ago. Best thing I ever did ,so I’m probably one of those people that just disappeared. I found it all very fake, triggering, and bullyish. Used in the correct way it could be a useful tool. Unfortunately, in my opinion ,it’s not always used in a good way...I don’t miss it now at all, and I had been rather addicted when I was on there 😊
I like facebook, but I only use it for certain things.... playing games to distract myself and talking to online friends.. who I class as real friends even though some of them I have never met and some I have met online and then gone onto meet.
I also use it as a platform to talk about my mental health and get help and support from those friends......sure there are some people who are not good for you and to be honest I don't have anyone on my profile like that..... as long as you keep your friends list to the people you talk too or actually know then I think it can be a good communication and support network
